Beyond The Grain began with basic wood working tools in a New York City apartment. Today we remain deliberately small — one master maker to each commission, no shortcuts, no factory floor.

We read the grain before we ever raise a tool, letting the timber decide its final form. The result is furniture with a quiet authority: pieces that hold a room and outlive the people who commissioned them.
